Community Involvement Is More Than a Commitment
At Modway Homes, we believe building homes is only part of building a stronger community. Every neighborhood, family, and future homeowner benefits when local organizations work together to create opportunities, provide support, and strengthen the places we call home.
Our commitment to community involvement extends beyond construction projects. Through volunteer service, nonprofit leadership, charitable giving, sponsorships, and community partnerships, the Modway Homes team proudly supports organizations that improve the lives of families throughout Elkhart County, St. Joseph County, Porter, Berrien Counties, and the surrounding region.
From affordable housing initiatives and family support services to Veteran programs and educational opportunities, we are honored to partner with organizations that share our vision of creating stronger communities for future generations.
Supporting Families Through LaCasa, Inc.
One of the organizations closest to our mission is LaCasa, Inc., a nonprofit organization that has been serving Elkhart County for decades.
LaCasa is dedicated to helping individuals and families achieve stability through affordable housing, homeownership education, financial counseling, neighborhood revitalization, and community development programs. Their work empowers families to build brighter futures while strengthening neighborhoods throughout the region.
As a company committed to helping families achieve the dream of homeownership, Modway Homes recognizes the tremendous impact LaCasa has on our community. Their efforts not only provide housing opportunities but also equip families with the financial knowledge and resources needed for long-term success.
The work performed by LaCasa reflects many of the same values that guide Modway Homes every day: creating opportunities, building stability, strengthening neighborhoods, and investing in people.
By supporting organizations like LaCasa, we help ensure that more families have access to the resources they need to thrive and become successful homeowners.
Leadership Through Service: The Samaritan Center
Community involvement begins with leadership.
Modway Homes Founder Adam Cobane proudly serves on the Board of Directors for The Samaritan Center, an organization dedicated to helping individuals and families facing difficult circumstances.
The Samaritan Center provides critical support services and resources that help local residents navigate life’s challenges while working toward greater stability and independence. Through board leadership and community advocacy, Adam helps support an organization that serves as a lifeline for many families throughout our region.
His involvement reflects Modway Homes’ belief that businesses should play an active role in supporting the communities they serve.
Supporting Veterans Through FreedomSystem.org
For Modway Homes Project Manager Kenny Holmes, community involvement includes a lifelong commitment to serving those who have served our nation.
Kenny is the President, CEO, and Founder of FreedomSystem.org, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping Veterans successfully transition from military service to civilian life.
FreedomSystem.org works to provide Veterans with opportunities for connection, mentorship, purpose, and community. Through events, outreach programs, and partnerships, the organization seeks to reduce isolation while creating meaningful opportunities for Veterans and their families.
As a retired Army Veteran and community leader, Kenny continues to advocate for programs that strengthen Veteran support systems and encourage long-term success after military service.
Investing in Youth and Education
Supporting future generations is an important part of building stronger communities.
Sarah Holmes, Office Manager at Modway Homes, serves as Co-President of the Booster Club at Trinity Lutheran School and Church, helping support educational programs, student activities, and community events that benefit local children and families.
Sarah also serves as Event Director for FreedomSystem.org, where she helps coordinate events that bring together Veterans, families, volunteers, and community supporters.
Her dedication to both youth development and Veteran outreach demonstrates the importance of investing in people at every stage of life.
Supporting Organizations That Make a Difference
Modway Homes proudly supports a variety of organizations whose missions align with our commitment to service, community development, education, housing, and family support.
Among these organizations is Five Star Life, which focuses on helping young people develop leadership skills, confidence, character, and purpose. Through mentorship and personal development opportunities, Five Star Life empowers youth to overcome challenges and become future leaders in their communities.
While each organization serves a unique purpose, they all share a common goal: helping people build stronger, more successful futures.
Building More Than Homes
At Modway Homes, we understand that strong communities are built through collaboration, leadership, and service.
Whether supporting affordable housing initiatives through LaCasa, helping families through The Samaritan Center, advocating for Veterans through FreedomSystem.org, investing in education through Trinity Lutheran School and Church, or contributing to youth development programs through Five Star Life, we remain committed to making a positive impact beyond construction.
Our mission extends beyond building houses. We are committed to helping build stronger neighborhoods, stronger families, and stronger communities throughout Northern Indiana and Southern Michigan.
Because at Modway Homes, we are not simply building homes—we are Building for Every Generation.
